home ways to serve 7 ways to help organize a boxes of hope drive
:: Organize a Boxes of Hope Drive ::

FOOD. NOURISHING FOOD. The Mission serves more than 300,000 meals each year through our dining room and family food bag program. For most of us, it’s commonplace to sit down to three good meals each day. But for impoverished families, it’s not that simple.
• Many inner city mothers must choose between buying diapers and buying food for the family • Good, nourishing food for many needy families is in scarce supply • Thousands rely on Fred Jordan Mission each week for their food
This is why Fred Jordan Mission remains a vital “food storehouse” for the poor. However, we cannot carry out this ministry of compassion alone.
• We need food every day. Lots of food. Pallets of food • We serve hot meals several times a day in the Mission’s dining room • We distribute hundreds of family food bags each week • But too often our cupboards are bare. When we run out of food it’s the poor who suffer
ORGANIZE A FOOD DRIVE (DO YOU HAVE FOOD TO DONATE?)
Consider organizing a food drive at your church, temple, or work place to collect non-perishable food items to help feed hungry families through Fred Jordan Mission.
